Continuous Open Bidding (COB) Recruitment-
This is also sometimes referred to as "Informal Recruitment". COB happens both in the fall and spring semesters, but you have to be eligible to participate.
Fall Eligibility:
Must be a non-first-year student at IU.
Must not have a signed or active MRABA with a PHA chapter at IU.
Must complete IU OSFL's Potential Member Orientation.
Transfer students are eligible to participate.
Spring Eligibility:
Must not have a signed or active MRABA with a PHA chapter at IU.
Must complete IU OSFL's Potential Member Orientation.
Transfer students and first-year students are eligible to participate.
It is important to know that not all chapters will participate in COB, and even those who are eligible may choose not to participate. The chapters that are eligible to participate in COB and are choosing to extend COB Bids will be posted on the PHA website and/or the PHA Instagram. It is encouraged that students who are interested reach out to the chapter to inquire about informal or COB events. Some chapters may choose to only extend invite-only bids, and others may choose to host fun sisterhood-like events for interested potential members to come, meet chapter members, and learn more.
